Plovers

I went out with Edie today, looking at all sorts of birds, from terns to plovers to oyster catchers. The kayaking excursion was canceled due to wind, but we saw some neat things. We got lucky near the end of the day and managed to find the couple from a nest we found earlier (we were worried that the eggs were eaten or washed away, as the nest was empty) and with some patience, found the female and watched her stand up.

Out popped 4 super cute chicks! Think chicken chicks, but smaller, poofier, and white. Super cute.
