Charlotte's skirt!

Today we all gathered at Charlotte's home to have tea and share our wonderful memories of this woman who was so dearly loved by so many in our community!

This skirt had to be my blip!!!   Here's the story (albeit short on actual detail).... about 50 or so years ago, Charlotte was invited to put one of her astonishing fibre art installations into a gala opening somewhere very special in London, England (this is where the details are sketchy)!  There was a formal dinner and she purchased this amazing skirt....wore it to the gala - where the Queen was also attending - and then it sat in her closet!   A few weeks ago, it was Cora- Lee's birthday (seen here)  and Charlotte, who was not in great shape at this point, delivered it to her at the library - for her birthday!!!  What a present.

It was a beautiful gathering on a very spring like day, which Charlotte would have loved.
