Thank you Admirer

What a wonderful thing Admirer gave us. I so appreciate the joy that looking for silly things every Saturday gives me. Again I had a meal in Takoma Park, a great place to find silly pictures.  

I checked the garden and the new mulch did not move! Tomorrow it will rain more so we get another test but it was great to not have to clear the Irish Moss and to find little Mitchella Repens around the garden. 

I am going to do some "artistic collaboration" with a new friend, taking photos inspired by Filipino cosmology. Wow. 

Eurovision is coming! Because they won last year Ukraine is guaranteed a spot. Because of the war they don't get to host so UK will. The BBC has a nice article about what winning Eurovision meant for Ukraine last year.

The Guardian has a nice article about two Ukrainian sisters who have gotten scholarships to two top UK music schools. One is a pianist, one is a violinist. The couple who took them in are not musical but said when the windows are open people walking by stop and listen. 

The Guardian has another article that says new, independent bookstores are popping up all around Kyiv. People found reading paper books by candlelight comforting during electricity outages.
