Cirencester

A lovely Saturday together exploring a new town, today it was the market town of Cirencester. We had a great day exploring the shops and side streets, the grounds of the abbey, a tasty lunch in the Lounge (very relaxed, family friendly and affordable - same as the original Lounge in Bristol). We went for a walk on the Bathurst Estate, a privately owned park open to the public with the tallest yew hedge in the UK - it was a fantastic place well worth a visit. We spotted an open air heated natural spring swimming pool, we will definitely be back to try. On the way home we stopped at Birdlip viewpoint for this incredible view of Gloucestershire
