Mystery

We came upon this sculpted head and plaque high on a building in The old part of Palma, it is in sight of the Convent of Santa Clara and may or may not relate to the convent. What adds to the mystery is the fruit on top of the head, a banana and perhaps an apple. Any genuine insights would be well received .
