Kayak

My neighbours will think I'm taking to the water. Not I, but our friends R&S whom we saw last week, are keen watersports people. They're off to Perthshire for a week sailing, kayaking and the like. Their son is coming up from London to join them and will pick up the kayak laden car from outside our house later this afternoon. This is the most interesting and colourful blip I can offer today.

The weather is horrible. Cold, wet and more like February than April. I've been baking an apricot and cranberry loaf and an apple and plum crumble. I think I'll put the kettle on and settle down with my book.
