Djibouti

It's only 9:00 a.m. and it's already closing in on 90F with very high humidity here in Djibouti.

This is a "watercolour" of the scene from our balcony of part of the city view -- we decided last night that we were not going to bother going on a tour today, because -- at the risk of sounding terribly spoiled -- we've seen our fair share of dusty hot streets, tin roofs, and sand these last several days.  The tour on offer was a four-hour wander through the city, which sounded more like it would be an endurance test!  We will venture down the gangway a little later on, just to have a short stroll, though.
