The £400 tap!!!!

When we moved into our house a few years ago it needed completely redecorating, the carpets were grubby, windows needed replacing, the kitchen old and worn (it still is) and lots of other small jobs needed doing. But the bathroom was nice. Recently the bath tap started to drip and leak out of the top. No problem I thought, I'll get a new washer and change it. Turns out I can't buy just a washer I need a new internal cartridge. Found this out after I had had a go at it with a spanner. Out of interest I thought I'd find out how much a new tap was. FU***** Hell!!! I nearly passed out. In my world bath taps cost about £60. This one costs over £400 !! I am not kidding.Look here.

Who in their right mind spends that much money on a tap????

So, my spanner is now back in the shed and a well insured plumber is being contacted to come and replace the internal cartridge (which cost nearly £40, why can't it just have a 20p washer??).
