Alga Trentopohlia and Spanish Bluebells
We had a walk in a small wood on the back road between St Monans and Kilconquhar. I spotted this tree with the bright orange alga. It really stood out.
When we got to the other side of the wood we walked along a track into Kilconquhar, then turned around and went back the same way. The birdsong in the wood was a joy. I managed to identify a great tit, blackbird, wren, and chiff chaff, then checked with the Merlin app., which I’m loving. We walked less than two miles, but it was enough.
It’s been a dull, grey, overcast day with lots of haar, but now at 5pm the sun is out.
