Friday feather

This was lying by the back door first thing this morning when Mindi and I went for a soggy walk down to the woods. Fortunately the weather improved as the day progressed.

We met D#1 off the bus when she came to spend the day with us. First stop was the dog-friendly St Mocha café for coffee, then back to the house and a guided tour of Mindi's playground.

As part of K's birthday celebrations (on Wednesday) we had a very nice bar meal in the Oak Tree Inn - hoaching as always, but fast efficient service - followed by a walk in the forest with Mindi before K caught the bus and train back home.

All in all a lovely way to spend my penultimate day here.
