Finally

These leaves have been growing vigourously for weeks, with never a sign of a flower spike. I'd assumed they were a batch of defective bulbs. They're in shade under trees, by the Sandport playpark.

But no, they're definitely showing buds now - I can even detect a hint of yellow. Maybe a host of golden daffodils for.....May Day?
