Yellow 2023

The gardener was here briefly this morning doing a bit more work on the lawn. It was quite overcast but brightened up after lunch so we did one of our regular circuits by the wood yard.

I thought it was about time I did a yellow field.

I tried my Merlin app for the first time too.

First attempt : as soon as I got the phone out the birds stopped singing, so 'Merlin has no matches'
Second attempt : just a common chaffinch, but it's a start
Third attempt : Eurasian blackcap, wow, that's more like it
