Early Petley

We had a visit to Rob’s eldest sister today, as she lives nearby in Burnham.
She has a large collection of their father’s works and it was great to see some of them. This portrait is of Renee and David aged around 7 and is in an early style that Petley was experimenting with. I find it very attractive, we don’t hold much in this style.
We had a brisk walk along the quay and through the town before retreating for a delicious lunch and more reminiscing!
It’s been great for Rob to catch up with his family most of whom live down here in the south and rather out of reach for us generally!
