Crewe equalise

Less than 100 Crewe fans (I think the official visitor attendance was 78) made it to Gillingham for a bottom half League Two game. We saw Crewe score (Callum Ainley equalised in the second half) but the home side grabbed a later winner - the perennial story of Crewe's season so far.

Earlier, I found the Past & Present brew pub and had a couple of pints with long-standing Alex Exile friend Dave Dodds, once of Nantwich and who now still lives local to me, in nearby Woolwich. After the game, we had to hustle our way home on the high-speed train to Stratford after all services back via Dartford were cancelled.
