New Neighbour.

The mare who lives in a field just down the road has recently foaled and yesterday returned with her foal to the field. The little one, seen here through the hedge, is eight days old and is apparently quite friendly. Sadly we could not get a better view or become better acquainted as mare and foal were sheltering in a quiet and secluded corner of their field.
Apologies for not visiting anyone yesterday, I was not well and certainly did not feel up to doing much of anything. However, greatly improved today and hopefully normal service will be resumed very soon.
