Botanical pilgrimage

We'd heard that Green-winged (or Green-veined) Orchids are in flower quite early this year, so went to have a look at them at their classic site in north Lancashire.  There was a stunning display of Early Purples with a few of the much rarer Green-winged.  This pale specimen shows the parallel greenish veins on each side of the 'hood'.
