Alston Arches Viaduct PW#10
Today Mr P walked from Alston to Hadrians Wall north of Haltwhistle. 32 km. I explored the South Tyne River valley with a Roman fort and viaducts of the old Alston to Haltwhistle railway line which is now a walk/cycle way . The Blip is the unusual Alston Arches Viaduct at Haltwhistle which was the end of the old branch line. The extra shows a different view of the same viaduct, the Lambley viaduct and Haltwhistle station with its Grade 2 listed signal box.
