Belfast

A continuing adventure. Today on the Dart train to Belfast, a city that I haven't been to for 50years, and under very different circumstances. The train journey was quick, and before we knew it we were there. As we left the station, we saw the famous Crown Bar, one of the old gin palaces in their day. 

We walked in a circle around the City Hall, and went into the Grand Hotel For a coffee at  £4.80 at cup, and were told by the young waiter that President Joe Biden had stayed there the previous week!! Then we did a bit of retail therapy. It was lovely to be there in a friendly atmosphere, people were helpful in giving us directions, and again a sunny day.

Now if you have got this far, while in M&S I received a phone call from our hotel, telling me we should have booked out by eleven!!! Panic!! I had made the booking and got the dates wrong oops! Fortunately they had one room left and so we were able to stay in our room. I was able to breath again :-)
