Care in Chobham
This is Coxhill Manor Care Home in Station Road, Chobham. A lady we know well in the village who, sadly, is a recent double amputee has moved there. She would have preferred to stay in her own home but, having visited her there a few times now, the care seems to be to a good standard. It is an attractive country house with Elizabethan origins, although the central part of the building is Victorian with some later Edwardian additions. There are striking stained glass windows in the sitting and dining rooms. It is a bit of a rabbit warren inside and I am not sure that a building of this type is conducive to efficient care of frail elderly people, but the garden and surroundings are very pleasant and peaceful. A nice setting for those who can sit outside when the weather improves.
