Brue Building

Built in 1892 by S.A. Sexton for John Brue.  It was rented for 50 dollars a month by the City of Monroe as a school building until their school was completed.   There are 16 offices upstairs - which would have worked well for a school.   I went in today and talked to a gal that worked there.  She did not have any info, but told me there was a book to her left with all the info.
I will put some of the pictures I took of the inside(which has been restored beautifully) in the extras.    thanks to Bob for hosting and a good Wide Wednesday challenge!   Not as old as most in the UK, but built right around the time when Everett was being built up.   My Grandma lived about 6 blocks behind me and to the left by the river is where my Great Grandfather worked at one of the shingle mills back in the day.
thanks for stopping by and so appreciate the hearts and stars of late and always enjoy reading your comments to me!!!    Hope you all are having a great Wednesday!!
