Gone

This afternoon I noticed Mr and Mrs Robin sitting in the tree with food, they went to the nest and came out still with the food.  The babies had gone. :-(
It seems while I was in meetings and Claude was out, he had been into the garden and got access to the nest and taken each of the babies.  He is the guilty party as he left evidence of them by the front door, including 5 legs and most of one of them.
 
I feel very sad as they were almost fully grown and would have been out of the nest soon, that probably would have been a very difficult time as they would not be flying but it was not to be.  I will probably remove the nest so that they do not reuse it as it is in a very perilous place with several cats around and Claude is very aware of where it is.
 
Other news, it very busy day at work, loads of emails in that I did not get to look at so tomorrow will also be very busy. I did get a few photos in the garden at lunchtime, see extra.
