Extravagant

The numerous amarylisses on the terrace are ridiculously showy. There are four massive blooms on each stem, and they are all busting out at once. So yes, another flower blip, a bit lazy I know.

Also extravagant: the heat, 10 degrees above average for the season. Really not good news, with drought conditions enduring and reservoirs already down to a quarter of capacity. However, what else can you do but go to the beach, so we did, after lunch at home. I fell asleep on my sun lounger; S went in the water but not for very long. And I failed to take any photos -- though it has to be said that on this beach you are likely to get naked people in your photos if you're not careful. We paused for a drink at the Barraca before heading home.
