Orca

Yesterday I was unable to get to St Mary's where a pod of orcas came right in to the pier- amazing shots and footage on FB. I hoped they might hang around and this morning social media alerted me to their presence in Scapa Bay. I cycled along and saw the pod quite far out, they never came closer than in the shot here. The pod yesterday was reported as 6 with a big bull and a couple of young animals. I thought today it was 4 or 5. The main shot is the bull tail-slapping. It is difficult when looking through binoculars or the camera to keep on them as they dive so I didn't quite get the tail high.
