IT WAS A DAY...
...to be on the water. Third in a series of four Saturdays delivering a course in Dunoon. The birds were absent or drifting sleepily on the silky smooth water, the mountains were distant and indistinct in the morning heat haze, so I give you the Isle of Scarba stealing Arran's thunder.
Another lovely day with this wonderfully brave group of people - it is such an enormous privilege to do this kind of work. Then I popped into see my sister in law and we sat in her lovely garden and talked about my brother, whose 75th birthday would have been next week. He died six years ago and we miss him still, but the memories are comforting.
