Such happy memories

Have come to stay with my oldest and dearest friend. This is her lovely sitting room that feels like home. We have known each other for over 40 years. We first met when we were army wives, living in Germany. We have lived through so much together. Births, deaths, happy times and sad times always supporting each other when our husbands were away for months at a time in Northern Ireland or the Falklands. We share the same stories. Sadly her husband died during lockdown. She is resilient and a great Grandma to her boys’ sons. I feel so lucky to have her as a friend. We have great fun together.
