Gorse

Another beautiful sunny day although cold out of the sunshine.

Over the last winter we had prolonged periods of cold weather with heavy frosts, and it has had the effect that our plants seem to be later in flowering.  Last year at this time the 'Bleeding Hearts' in the garden were in full flower, I even blipped them, but this year they are nowhere to be seen yet.

However, the gorse is a tough plant and keeps coming, and I loved its brightness in the sun today.

The family all seem to be travelling ......Gary and Izzy are in Turkey, luckily they are on holiday, but Cali is in London for a few days of meetings, and Karen, who was in Orkney last week, is in Birmingham this week.   They get around, these girls!
