Ready for summer

We have visitors coming to stay next week. This involves a whole different level of cleaning than the standard "people coming round for a cup of tea" effort. I decided I needed to start today in a little and often approach. The bathroom is now sparkling, there is a new loo seat and the stairs and landing has been hoovered. Tomorrow - bedrooms, I think.

Then haircuts - Will had already started his off this morning and cut huge lumps out his hair. And scattered it all over the house.

Then we went to buy the children wet suits for summer swimming, Will and I went to try his out (well, he tried it out, I sat with a cup of coffee reading my book). A very successful chicken pie for tea that everyone liked - I am in shock.

Now I have to go and watch Titanic again with Daisy - her new favourite thing!
