Outfoxing the Squirrels

Vermin grey squirrels have been destroying my garden. I planted a new vegetable garden only to have them dig up the carrots and chew the heads off all the other plants. ( I thought squirrels eat nuts!!!) I then covered my plants with PVC mesh only to have the squirrels chew huge holes in the mesh and destroying the stakes.

After a couple hundred quid's worth of damage to the garden and decking, I have now built a cage with wire mesh...

My next step is poison and an air rifle if this fails. I don't think anyone can blame me for being inhumane after weeks of trying less aggressive alternatives. I tried the council but it seems their traps don't work outdoors.

In SA I'd just shoot the buggers... But people are just too sensitive in London.
