Booking

It was a busy if uninspiring day, mostly spent looking for places to stay in New England for our holidays. Already much is booked for the dates we want and the remainder is either classic cheap motel territory or jaw-dropping expensive.  We knew it would be the case, but it was still a bit dispiriting to find little that we really liked. 

Early evening I departed for face-to-face Read Easy training, part 2. The Nuffield Health Gym in Farnborough had generously given us free access to their cafe after closing time for our meeting, even providing flasks of hot water and paper cups for coffee and tea. The training was interesting and it was good to meet some of my fellow volunteers in the flesh for the first time. They are a good bunch, but, by the time I landed back home some time after nine I was tired and hungry.
