The worlds biggest paddle!
Funny day today….we had to check in with work this morning so did that over breakfast then all of the things I hoped to do today were either cancelled /full for spaces or couldn’t happen due to road closures. Our next location wasn’t free for check in until 4pm….so we went for a 200km wonder….found a fabulous ice cream restaurant / came across female elks….then found a pioneer town which was so tree it was ridiculous and had a lovely chat in a car park with a funny gentleman. I had to pop into a grocery store for supplies for our next stay (we decided on a yurt for 2 nights) and over the tannoy the manager wanted shoppers to sing happy birthday to their much loved check out guy Steve….all the staff then started singing happy birthday! How delightful is that?!

Ps yesterday trip up lake Louise had an avalanche the day before…I wasn’t aware when we went up until this morning…sadly three skiers ignore closed boundaries and caused a level three avalanche. One skier died - sad news indeed.
