Singer Tavern: Tom and Im

More spirited in large

A jolly sociable day! I went for coffee with a friend in Balham in the morning, then Im and I went to see the Singer Tavern which Tom now manages in the early evening... It is a cool place in the old Singer sewing machine HQ, with a bar/pub upstairs, and a more specialised cocktail bar downstairs; Tom reckons it has as lot of potential. Im had a rum cocktail, I had an alcohol-free wheat beer, and Tom seems to have a tiny ale...
We went to a Japanese restaurant by the Barbican afterwards, then walked to London Bridge station in the tail end of the rain (I was already wet from earlier in the afternoon...); it was a v. enjoyable evening all round.
