New places, new adventures
We're off on a journey across mid-Wales. Our first stop was by chance in Chirk, which we didn't know is part of the Pontcysllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site. Chirk aqueduct is 260m long and carries the Llangollen Canal 30m above the River Ceirog, and straddles the border between Wales and England. The photo also shows the Chirk Tunnel where you can walk on the towpath beside the canal for 420m in complete darkness.
Our stop for the night is Bishop's Castle - love the painted house walls! (See extras)
