Its the Way It Is

Postcard to NADAR

For today’s mono Monday challenge, we pay homage to NADAR. French photographer extraordinaire.

My blip is a caricature done by me of him as he soared (and crashed a few times) over Paris.

He epitomises the French personality of creativity, inventiveness and pioneering spirit. Please s’il vous plait read his bio here. He would have made a good dinner table companion.

I have written a postcard to him (extra).

I have also attached a photo of Niepce Nicephore’s ‘from a window in Gras’ - reputedly the first photo ever taken. He was also French. Not to mention Old Man Daguerre, another Frenchman, who invented the daguerreotype.

So you see we have to thank the French for being the main inventors of a skill which gives blippers so much pleasure.
