Bikes in the Park--Copenhagen

A scene in the King's Garden (Kongens Have), in Copenhagen. It's also called the Rosenborg Castle Gardens, due to its origin in the early 1700's as King Christian IV's private gardens. It's thus the oldest park in the city, and obviously very popular, despite the grey and threatening skies. I've already blipped a few of the ubiquitous bicycles in Copenhagen; here are more, around two groups. Viewed large, you'll see numerous flowers in the distance, include red chestnut blossoms, rhododendrons and lilacs.

We spent the entire afternoon at the David Collection which boasts a large and comprehensive collection of Islamic Art. It was fascinating and wonderfully displayed; it claims to be among the ten best Islamic art collections in the western world, and we don't doubt it. The collection is across from this park--I've marked it on the map.
