Marathon

It was a horrible day to be running 26.2 miles (actually ANY day is a horrible day for running..........?!).  The rain was fairly incessant all day and it was cold and damp.  However we had decided to go to London to watch A & D run (JC's sister).  We parked at Bow and got the DLR a couple of stops and watched from Canary Wharf.  We found a good spot under a bridge and stayed dry most of the day.  They both did really well and were happy with their time.  It is such an awe inspiring event with so much money raised for charity and other good causes.  We saw lots of runners for the RM and cancer charities and the wheelchair athletes brought a lump to my throat.

No.1 did well but felt tired by the afternoon and we left around 3.00 for the drive home.  She had a snooze then we had a less than appetising dinner (beef casserole which I had frozen).  The sun did come out a bit when we got home so I managed a wander around the garden to check it was not waterlogged!!  I am ready for the sun to shine now, the rain is really getting to me.
