A day of contrasts and a goodbye

Within 5 minutes on our walk we had sunshine, rain hail and then sun again. 

Quite an emotional day today.
 My niece's Celebration of Life was this afternoon. Not a funeral in the usual way. No prayers or hymns, just good music and sharing good memories and photographs.
She'd planned it herself and wanted people to wear bright colours and be happy. 
Of course we did feel sad. She was a bright cheerful quirky fun person and we will miss her. 
The 'service' was in Inverness and was live streamed for those of us who lived 100s of miles away. 
One positive about watching it on my own I could shed tears, (as well as laugh ) without having to try and keep a stiff upper lip. 


I then went for a long walk with Fletch.
