Felt a bit alarmed to see this lovely ash being taken down, but not altogether surprised. I admire it every time I walk past it. Not anymore!

On the plus side, the council seem to be maintaining a longer sward on more of the green AND I saw dippers again today. And best of all, I saw their chicks too - a first for me. They were very sweet bobbing away, waiting for their busy parents to come back with treats.
