Skyving
What a busy day yesterday was.
Given that the ensuite-bathroom is more or less done we decided to return our bedroom to its normal layout. We deep cleaned the room to remove all the dust and heaved the furniture back to its original position. I don't know how many times I emptied the Dyson there was so much dust. I then gave the bathroom a dust and a mop. Meanwhile Mr Flossmo sorted out the wall around a new switch box in the bedroom for the dual fuel radiator, and touched up the paint. We still have to paint around the door and window but that can wait. One down one to go. We then did the usual household clean and even that was tougher than usual as dust has permeated the whole house. Anyway by mid-afternoon everywhere looked quite spruce.
The main bathroom is getting there but there is still plastering to be finished, the vanitory unit to have its top and basin fitted and paintwork to be done. Unfortunately the fitter experienced a bereavement last week so it's not entirely clear when he will be back to finish the work. We were offered a different fitter but decided to wait - we like and trust the current one so feel a wait will be worth it.
Early evening our neighbours came for a glass of wine and a bathroom inspection. They are leaving us soon having bought a house by the sea. They wanted to see the bathrooms as they will be refurbishing their new house. I am envious - of the location not the refurbishment. So far they haven't sold their current house so we don't know what we will get in the way of new neighbours - we watch the prospective buyers arrive and depart with nervousness.
Sky rather reluctantly posed for the blip. It was the least she could do after a day curled up snoozing on her sheepskin rug.
