Saturday: Superior Shine

K has been busy prepping a lasagne today as our friends, G&S, are coming over for Sunday lunch tomorrow.  That said, plans were thrown off when every portion of ground pork we defrosted was off.  We’ve had some electrical work done on the compound this week which meant the power was off for whole days in nearly 40 degrees heat so we reckon that’s what did for the pork.  So we took a walk in the midday heat to ‘Butcher Boys’ to see if we could get what we needed.

It’s been a hot one today so, like most days, we had some good pool time this afternoon.  Today’s game was ‘Name The Historical Character With Beachball’.  I have to say K was rubbish.  She totally did not get my demonstration of ‘Mary, Queen of Scots, with beachball’ or ‘Boudicca with beachball’ (to which K’s only response was ‘Just call her Boadicea!’ She clearly does not approve of the modern pronunciation.)

Anyhoo, this is our local bus stop, taken on the way to ‘Butcher Boys’.
