Petrol Generator

We needed one when we stayed in Zambia, and actually didn't think it would become necessary when we're back in South Africa, I mean, it used to be the Sub Saharan country closest to first world standards! Now, what with all sorts of corruption and dodgy contracts, the people who pays the highest tariff for electricity need generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply to your most essential equipment! Eisch.

Ronnie bought this little 6.5KVA generator to assist with short term power supply interruptions, he had it built in and connected to the house's cables and when the power is off, we just switch off heating and geyser and don't use stove and hot water kettle, etc., and start this little miracle maker.

Jeepers, but it is so noisy! Ronnie built a wooden cover, insulated it and added an 'exhaust pipe' that leads to a hole in the wall of the 2nd garage,
taking the exhaust fumes out. What a relief, the noise is at least 60% dampened now!

Will show the completed job later.
