Inspired by a Cumbrian enterprise.
I have just bought this bag of compost from my local supermarket. It’s peat free, approved by the Soil Association for organic gardening and contains wool, bracken and comfrey - three sustainable ingredients.
The comfrey, a plant superfood, is grown sustainably on the farm and is beneficial for bees and other insects.
The farmers who produce the compost claim that it ‘feeds the plants for at least a season and requires less watering’.
I can’t wait to get potting.
