Carlisle

I have been backblipping the last few days form our trip to the  Lakes if you are interested!

We got up early to head off to Carlisle.  Whenever I head down south I always pass Carlisle but I have never stopped off there.  It's not quite far enough to warrant a stop off so early on my travels!

We had brunch in Carlisle then had a wee wander - in the rain!  We were so lucky the last 3 days so we didn't complain!  But we were all soaked so I made the call to head back to the car.  The Cathedral is well worth a visit.  It gorgeous!  We might make another trip to see the historic stuff in the summer.  It was kind of difficult to do with a geriatric dog!

Once we got back to the car we phoned NHS11 and the woman was going to organise a call back from an emergency dentist in Glasgow for Dale.  We were literally 10 minutes from Glasgow when she got the call - from a dentist in Carlisle!!!!  She was not amused!!!

So, she called NHS24 and got a bit more help and she now has an appointment in Falkirk tomorrow at 11am.

Once back across the border it was drier and by the time we got to Glasgow there was sunshine again and the same here in Stirling so the holiday washing has been done!

I think Aonghus is glad to be home!
