Sedges
This is sedge, blipped in the reserve this morning, where it's growing and flowering all over the place. It's likely the best shot I took (I love it's intricacies), but the thrill of today was seeing the warblers back for summer, in particular the sedge warblers of which there is a cute though rather distant example in Extras. I will try to get a closer shot soon. (Muddlingly the sedge warber is on a reed, where if you were being literal you might expect a reed warbler). A thoroughly enjoyable morning!
This afternoon I walked Hazel, who kept trying to eat disgusting stuff off the track - and then spent time reading the equally unsavoury political latest..
Just a reminder that today is the last day for the WFW23_03 challenge. From tomorrow and for the next week, please tag your wildflower entries #WFW23_04. Thank you
Enjoy your evening, all xx
