Sally Mair - Loving life

Garden again

Another lovely day. I did some house stuff this morning then went to pick up Isobel and take her to dancing.
"I'm so pleased to see you" I said.
"You only saw me yesterday" she replied and laughed.
"I'm still pleased to see you" I replied. She smiled and said "yes"!
I thought I might be picking up both girls but it turned out to be only Isobel. I had gone into Lidl and bought them a pink iced doughnut with sprinkles each, as a treat. Isobel ate her packed lunch in no time in the back seat of the car, in order to get to her treat. I'd left Eilidh's at the after school club so that they could give it to her. Apparently her comment was, "That's Grandma!" I do love my girls.
Back home I spent the afternoon in the garden again, doing those things wot I had left undone many months ago! I'm almost half way around the back now and already it's looking tidier.
My blip is of some of the many daffs still in flower, those in pots this time. I think these are the ones I bought at the RSHS bulb sale at Saughton. If so they are mainly Cragford, Thalia, Golden Bells, and Blushing Lady. The tulips are doing well again too, some pots are already open and some are still to come.
The man fitting Ali's add room needed an 8mm spanner, did I have one, she asked. I said I thought so, so she nipped into the car with Josie while I looked. I did have one, in fact I had two! Josie had her tea while they were here then they rushed off back home again. The doors are sorted. I'm so pleased that all is coming together with this extra room. It's helping to make up for not being able to move last year.
So I had a bitty day, but a nice one. Another busy day tomorrow, I've a talk about India to give in the morning, and Sunday is pretty full too, then hopefully some time to relax on Monday.
Have a good weekend everyone whatever you are doing.
