Battle Scarred

Moved to a different river - the Lesse - today & followed one of the waymarked routes, along lanes, up through the forest, past viewpoints & nature reserves & back along the river. More gentle countryside than the areas around the Semois & Meuse. There were plenty of dandelions along with more specialist plants, & several butterflies were flitting along the tracks. This Brimstone had obviously seen better days as it had lost part of its hindwing but it was still feeding busily.
