HOT AIR BALLOON

Two Hundred Years past history was made in Australia - to find more pasture and food producing land in 1813 - The first recognised European crossing of the Blue Mountains, undertaken by Gregory Blaxland, William Lawson and William Charles Wentworth, and subsequent survey of the terrain by George Evans.

To cellebrate there has been many activities including a re-enactmant of the crossing which included descendants of those original explorers.

Today had many activities right through the Blue Mountains area - one of which I visited at sunrise to get a Blip of a hot air balloon launching.
BEST VIEWED IN LARGE.

Following this during the day there was a fly over by many varied aircraft which I will post on my Blipfolio Hot Air Balloon and Fly overlater.

For those wishing further info on this momentous occasion follow this link. Bicentenary info
