Contented Pumpkin

Pumpkin has settled into our routine so well. She is thoroughly happy and runs around as if she owns the place. Today she had a crazy time charging around the garden and in and out of the house, before collapsing on her bed and having a sleep!
One thing that is puzzling is that she doesn't bark!! Maybe that will still happen. I rather like a quiet dog, especially as we have two very yappy dogs in our neighborhood.
A crisis was averted today....while waiting to fetch hubby from his poker game, I remembered I hadn't switched off a saucepan of rice on the stove! It would be at least half an hour before we returned home. A hasty call to my neighbour, who has a spare set of our house keys, and who was fortunately at home, saved the day! The rice was just beginning to burn! She hadn't met Pumpkin, and said she growled at her when she approached her, so at least we know she has a voice!
Coda's leg is much better, but not 100% so I am still keeping her quiet.

The wind was less severe today, and lots of clearing up is taking place - a friend had a tree fall over in their garden, luckily it fell away from the house. Swimming pools are cluttered with leaves and debris
