Broad beans

I can see the first flowers on some of my broad bean plants but they've all been badly munched by slugs and snails.

The crimson plants haven't been performing as well as the green plants, they're still really small.

No signs of blackfly yet but the weather's colder than what you'd expect in late April. 

It'll be nice to harvest something, I'm not a fan of the hungry gap!
