A bit later a member of staff from the cafe opened a bag of duck food for them.

I intended to go to Kendal today . . . the recycling site and a few financial things to sort. Then the weather forecast changed to sunny so I decided they could wait.

I did one job in the house and that led to another and another. A busy morning but a feeling of satisfaction at the end. In the afternoon I drove to Bowness. It wasn’t as busy as I expected and I quickly spotted a parking space.
