... is mightier than the sword


Dropped off some things we've collected for donation at the Hospice Thrift Store and while there I found three photography magazines from the early 40s and this book from 1920, Putnam's Phrase Book - "a dictionary of six thousand expressions and general phrases for use in conversation, social letter writing, and public speaking". Worn from age and use (rather like me), I expect that it will still be of some help as, facing the task with "resolute purpose and indomitable zeal", I seek to find just the right words to accompany the images ... or, perhaps not.
